In Her Own Words...
When I was asked to tell you about myself, I could not come up with anything you did not already know!
Or do you….?
Listen closely and you will find that I was born and raised in Nebraska, am single, never been to a Husker football game, and shovel my own driveway. I guess there are a few things you may not know … pull up a chair.
I spent many years watching cardiac monitors in intensive care, making sure everyone was alive. Much as I do now, actually! Keeping Gary, Jim, and Scott in line without them even realizing I am really the one in charge, is an art. They have not caught on yet, so let’s keep that between us.
I also worked for a few years in the rail yard. Wait, no, never mind. I never actually got a paycheck for that so I guess that does not count. I was the graffiti grader. I occasionally saw some art work on those trains that brought a tear to my eye. It is, however, graffiti in nature so it had to go. That was part of my volunteer work. Very rewarding.
I paint in my spare time. I would show you more (you can see a few works below), but I don’t have a lot of spare time, so not much to show.
I have great friends all over the country just to make sure I have a place to stay when I go to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, and occasionally, if they are speaking to me, friends in Southern California. Currently, we are on non-speaking terms. I am working on that.
Email me and let me know the best place for seafood. I have found the best sushi and the best steak and really even the best burger ( I will tell you if you ask). But can’t seem to find decent seafood. There was a place that had the absolute best fish and chips from here to … anywhere, but because of the smoking ban, Old Dundee was forced to close the kitchen. Sigh. I am still lobbying to get it back.
